McLean Electrical has over 25 years experience designing and installing solar, wind and battery back up systems, on and off grid, Battery storage has recently become really viable due to the rise in electricity cost and the low price of batteries and solar panels. The system are now fully integrated with some electric tariffs helping save more money.

Our team are NICEIC approved electricians, all our work is certified, insured and warranted. Our experience comes from three areas, Solar PV design and installation for over 10 years, designing back up systems for critical areas like server rooms that just can not fail. We also have experience in designing and installing electrical systems for transatlantic sailing yachts, controlling batteries, generators, solar and wind - true off grid. We are based near Grantham in Lincolnshire we will travel to install your system.

Approved advanced installers of the Givenergy battery systems, which have hybrid or AC coupled battery storage inverters that can provide back for power cuts, off peak charging and solar charging.

All our solar Battery storage systems are designed to meet your needs. You can have a custom designed on or off grid system to suit your location and lifestyle, we can provide power for heat pumps, immersions, internet, wifi, ovens, fridges, washing machines etc.

Solar, Battery Storage and Off Grid options
Existing solar inverter
If you have existing solar panels on a FIT you can use an AC coupled Givenergy inverter and battery storage. Or use the new Givenergy all in one 13 kw storage unit. This does not affect your existing tariff.
This can also offer hole house off grid back up with automatic change over switch.
Givenergy Hybrid inverter systems
New or existing solar panels can be fitted to a Givenergy Hybrid inverter. This does the same job as the AC coupled unit but can also carry on generating power even when off grid. The AC coupled unit will shut down only leaving you with what is in the battery. You can fit up to 5 9.5kwh Givenergy batteries.
This system can also provide back power.
Total off grid
Systems
If you have no grid supply at all or a grid supply could be too expensive, we can design and install a totally off grid system for you.
Using the VICTRON marine equipment which is completely scalable to match your demand, single or 3 phase.
You don't gave to live like a hermit you can have as much freedom of power as a normal grid supply.
Solar and battery
storage with heat pump
Use your solar panels to charge the batteries or charge them from the grid using a cheap tariff then use the power in the batteries to power your heat pump or water heater. Back up power in a power cut. With summers getting warmer our Daikin heat pumps can cool as well as heat. This can be powered from your solar or battery for free all summer.

for simple supplies like gates, horse stables, motorhomes to full house total off grid systems.
